These cupcakes are for a customers little boys birthday party. A huge fan of Pixar’s Cars and his favourite colour being green led to a very easy brief!
The cakes are vanilla sponge with a butter frosting and the cars are hand made from royal icing sugar paste.
These cupcakes were made for a customer who placed an order for her little boy Freddie’s first birthday. Child friendly they are vanilla sponge in pastel coloured cases, topped with mix and match buttercream frosting. They’ve been decorated with mini smarties and sugar paste number 1’s and letter F’s so there is no mistaking who these belong to!
I made some simple Jubilee Cupcakes for work, the cake itself is layered red, white and blue then topped with some royal decor.
I was asked to create some ocean themed cupcakes for a wedding reception and these were the final result.
Vanilla sponge with blue whipped frosting, crumbled ginger biscuit as sand and hand made royal icing shells and sea creatures topped with a gold lustre…
A family friend was hosting a baby shower for her daughter, who is expecting a baby girl. She asked me to whip up some pink, girly cupcakes for the event and these little cuties are what I finished up with. Pink glitter and pearl lustre finish them off fabulously under light to give a real sparkle.
These were made for two customers for Valentines Day. A light vanilla sponge topped with a soft pink frosting, sugarpaste hearts and a pearl lustre.
These butterflies I made by freehand piping two different types of chocolate for the wings, topping them off with sprinkles. Finished off with a light vanilla frosting as the body they were a delicious sweet treat.
My little cousin (in law-ish) is a massive Lego fan so I couldn’t resist trying these out when we were invited over for dinner.
All handmade from coloured sugar paste resting on vanilla frosting with a few chocolate smarties for good measure, very fiddly but worth the effort!
These festive treats I made for Christmas Day at my boyfriends family’s place. With cinnamon frosting, hollybush topping and sweet dried cranberrys, they looked at tasted the part!
For those of you who don’t know, my Mum’s side of the family is Italian and these cupcakes I made for her 80th birthday party.
The frosting was piped on by hand to look like spaghetti, covered in a raspberry jam mixture to make the bolognese sauce, topped with Ferrero Rocher meatballs and grated white chocolate parmigiana cheese.
After a lot of elderly confusion as to whether or not it was actually a plate of spaghetti and meatballs or a cake, they went down a treat.
